I wanted to change things up from the previous two records, so I started things off with some heavy drums. I remember hearing the album Counterparts by Rush, and the first song had this big drum intro starting things off. I wanted to do that, so I did.

I was looking for a new approach to the recording aspect, and my new approach wasn't really working. I recorded this song using the direct out of the Katana Artist Head, but after a few playbacks, I didn't like the results. I rerecorded every part I could, but unfortunately, the lead lines were committed to track, and I wasn't able to capture the vibe of the first take, so I kept it. 

This is when I started to explore more plug-ins from Neural DSP. I will get into more details as we go.
