The Fender Stratocaster
The Fender Stratocaster
The Fender Stratocaster.
The Fender Stratocaster has to be the most iconic guitar in the history of guitar building. This is the most imitated guitar in the business and with good reason, It just works. When it comes to that single-coil sound this guitar shines above the rest. Leo Fender got it right from the beginning and there’s just something special about a Fender guitar that lives within each one.
It’s a certain spirit that run’s through a Fender Strat that makes each guitar come alive and no other guitar has it. Don’t get me wrong, I love other strat style guitars and have played/owned some very special guitars in this style over the years and will continue to do so, but like I said there’s a special spirit that Fender always seems to have that makes you want to keep playing one.
My experience with strats helped me come to a conclusion that you can get that true strat vibe from any level whether it’s a made in Mexico model or made in the USA to the USA custom shop models, each one seems to have that spirit within. I love the custom shop vibe because it just feels and looks old school, and I like that. I recently purchased an American professional II series guitar and WoW! was I was blown away. These guitars just performed up to my expectations and just really impressed me. It’s great to see that Fender is still making great quality and affordable instruments. This would be my recommendation if you’re looking for that first guitar or maybe that first single-coil guitar. Fender rocks!
I don’t have a lot of pictures of my Stratocasters from over the years but I will share a few that I have here with you.
Here's an example of a Strat in action from my recent record called Somebody.
This was done with a H/S/S Strat.
This song has the H/S/S strat setup. The solo was done with Frankie.
