George Lynch

It was 1984 when Tooth and Nail came out and I was at Berklee. At the time Rock guitar players were finally getting respected in a Jazz oriented school, it just had to. I remember going down the hall to my room which was all the way on the other side of the building when you get off the elevator. Hearing all these great players my confidence as a player was shrinking by the second, it was like by the time I got to my room I could walk underneath the door....That's how great these players were. Anyway, I remember that long stretched out solo George did on the title track tooth and nail and just fell for his playing. Ever since with all the projects he's been doing over the years I still follow him. He has such a unique style and sound that for me is what makes a great player and George is just that, A great player.
