My absolute favorite Jazz Guitar player. I don't really think of Pat's music as just Jazz because he has so many dynamics in his music that just go way beyond the Jazz realm. I was first introduced to him by my second roommate in Berklee. He let me listen to the album (white cover) Pat Metheny Group. That album just totally blew my mind, so much that I ran out to my local music store in Boston and bought as many Pat Metheny records I could find. The nice thing about being in Boston at that time was that there were so many cool used record shops that you can go walk around and find all this diverse music that I never would have found in my hometown area.

I also fell in love with the sound of Lyle Mays. The passion that came through in his playing was just breath taking.... My favorite piano player....
